Field procedures

Issued for the safety of all participating households.

1. Scan the tag as soon as a subject reaches you, and file Form 11-B.
2. Retain the subject briefly. Photograph it somewhere it has not been before. Do not photograph it twice in the same position, if you can help it.
3. Send it on within 30 days. Hand it to a willing person, post it to a friend, or leave it somewhere dry and public.
4. Never remove the tag. Without it, the record ends.
5. Do not place subjects where they would frighten anyone who has not agreed to this. No doorsteps, schools or private property, and nowhere it could be mistaken for a security concern. We take this one seriously.

Reminders

Sightings must be submitted within 24 hours. After that, they tend to find you first.
